How to properly measure usinig a cloth tape or string and a tape measure.
Note 1 - Measure from the back of the neck at the center to your wrist; arm bent downwards at a 90° angle at the elbow.
Note 2 - Measure at the largest circumference.
Note 3 - Measure at the normal beltline.
Note 4 - Measure total front and back through legs.
Always Think, Safety First! Your safety as well as the fans safety is vital to the longevity of motorsports. As well as wearing a SFI rated driving suit, you need to protect your hands, feet, and head with SFI approved clothing. SFI approved clothing gives you the extra seconds to protect your body from serious burn injury that can leave you scared for life. Protect yourself with a SA approved helmet and SFI gloves, suit and shoes. You can always add extra protection by wearing UnderX or another flame retardant under garment.
Selecting the proper size helmet is crucial in today's safety efforts from tracks and sanctioning bodies to the well being of the racer's life. Improperly fitting helmets can cause serious injury or even death to the racer. Also take into consideration whether or not your sanctioning body or track requires a SA Rating or will accept a M rated helmet.
For a perfect fit:
Use the sizing chart to get the correct size for your helmet. Carefully measure around your head, above the ears and about an inch above your eyebrows. NOTE: Although many people's heads may measure identically, they may be shaped differently which affects size and fit. Once you have selected the proper size, and you have received your helmet, it should have a snug, but comfortable fit for optimum performance.

Taking the extra precautions and steps to give yourself the added layers of fire protection; you have assisted yourself and Safety Crews by providing more time in the event you exposed to fire. many fuels and even some oxygenated fuels do not produce a visible flame, if you are unfortunate enough to be exposed to these agents and catch fire, always whenever possible stop, drop , and roll.
